The First Day of Kindergarten

The first day of school is almost here! I am so excited to meet my new class! I am certain many of you have questions, comments, concerns, and emotions. Hopefully the following information will help. Here are a few things to know about the first day:

  1. We will meet down on the playground between 7:45 - 8:00 (school starts at 8:00 am).  The basketball court is where we will line up each morning. Our class is the third line from the parking lot.

  1. Please remember, no backpacks.  Although it's fun to choose a new backpack, we just don't have the space for them.  Backpacks will be something to look forward to in first grade.

  1. Please send a small snack for our nutrition break.  It can be in a lunch box or bag with your child's name.  This is not lunch, just a short break, so a small healthy snack is plenty. Students will have snack and recess break from 9:45-10:15 each day.

  1. If you are able, we invite you to join us for the first 15 minutes in our classroom as we read our first story together as a class.

  1. Dismissal will be at 12:30!!  Please pick up you child on the ramp in the front of the school. I ask that you come introduce yourself to me - tell me your name and your child's name - this way, I can start getting to know faces and make pick-up as safe as possible.

  1. On the first day of school, your child will come home with a first day packet full of papers from the office. Please be on the look out for this important packet, fill out the appropriate paperwork, and return to school as soon as possible.

  1. Smile! The first day of Kindergarten is exciting!

Meet Mrs. Bobrink

Hello! My name is Brilane Bobrink and I am beyond excited to be your child's kindergarten teacher! I am looking forward to having a successful academic year! This is a big step for your little one, so please allow me to share a little about myself. :)

I have earned a Master's Degree in Education with a teaching credential from the University of California, Riverside, where I have also received a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies. My passion has always been working with children! This will be my fourth year teaching Kindergarten here at Inland Leaders. I have also had the opportunity to work in 1st and 3rd grade classrooms, tutor students from elementary levels to college levels, teach dance at a local dance studio, work as a summer camp counselor for young children, and teach Sunday School  (preschool through 5th grade). Aside from teaching, I love to dance! I have about 20 years of ballet training and experience. I used to dance and perform at Disneyland!! My other hobbies include hiking, cooking, exercising, painting, writing, traveling, and yoga. I have been married to Daniel Bobrink (who grew up in Yucaipa!) for three years! He is a middle school Physical Education teacher in Moreno Valley. We just welcomed our baby girl, Emma, into the world this past April! We live in Yucaipa with our puppy, Charlie.

As your child's kindergarten teacher, I will provide him or her with a safe, encouraging, and positive learning environment. It is my priority to know my students and accommodate their individual  needs accordingly. My hope is for your child to develop a love for learning!

I TRULY look forward to getting to know you and your child this school year!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Bobrink :)
